Why are Brazilian and Hollywood waxes sometimes priced differently?

Some salons charge ₹200–₹500 more for Hollywood because it takes 5–10 more minutes. At YLG, we charge the same price (₹2,700) for both — the cost difference doesn't justify a separate price point, and it makes the menu confusing. You decide at consultation; we adjust technique.

Will a Hollywood wax hurt more than a Brazilian?

Marginally. The most sensitive parts of the intimate area are at the front and back, which are covered in both treatments. Hollywood adds the small central front strip — that's the only additional zone. Most clients say the pain difference is 1 point on a 10-point scale.

Which is better hygienically — Brazilian or Hollywood?

Hollywood is marginally better for summer hygiene because there's no hair to retain sweat or bacteria. In Chennai's humid climate, this can make a meaningful difference for active clients. Brazilian still leaves a tiny strip — usually not enough to compromise hygiene meaningfully.

Does a Hollywood wax look unnatural?

Will a Hollywood cause more ingrown hairs?

No — ingrown hair risk depends on aftercare, not on Brazilian vs Hollywood. Same three rules apply to both: cotton underwear for 48 hours, exfoliate from day 3, and use the post-wax serum. With these habits, ingrown hairs are rare with either style.

Is a Hollywood wax safe during pregnancy?
