Can I shave between underarm waxes?
Please don't — even one shave can ruin a wax cycle by re-triggering inflammation and creating coarser stubble for the next wax. If hair is bothering you between waxes, trim with small scissors instead. Stick to a 4-week wax schedule and you'll never need to.
Will underarm waxing reduce sweating?
Slightly — but not because the wax does anything to sweat glands. Two indirect effects: (1) Less hair = less surface area for bacteria, which means less body odour even with similar sweat volume. (2) Some clients report a small reduction in perceived sweat because there's no hair holding moisture against the skin. Wax is not a treatment for hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) — for that, see a dermatologist about Botox or iontophoresis.
Can I wear deodorant after underarm waxing?
Wait at least 24 hours. The alcohol in most deodorants stings freshly waxed skin and can cause folliculitis. After 24 hours, switch to an aluminium-free, fragrance-free deodorant for 48 more hours, then resume your normal product on day 4. Many of our clients permanently switch to natural deodorants once they start waxing — combined effect is brighter underarms over time.
Will the hair grow back thicker?
No — waxing makes hair grow back finer and slower over time because the follicle is gradually weakened by repeated root removal. The "thicker hair" myth comes from shaving, which cuts hair at the widest point of the shaft and makes stubble feel coarser. Waxing has the opposite effect.
Is underarm waxing safe during pregnancy?
