Male skin is thicker (about 25% thicker than female skin), has larger pores, more sebaceous (oil-producing) glands, and faces daily abrasion from shaving. Our men's facials use stronger exfoliants, a longer steam-and-extraction phase to clear deeper blackheads and ingrown hairs, and a calming post-shave-style cool mask. Products are unfragranced and non-comedogenic.

ELT (European Light Therapy) Facial uses photon LED light therapy to penetrate 3× deeper than a manual facial. Red light boosts collagen, blue light kills acne-causing bacteria, and yellow light reduces pigmentation. The treatment takes 60–75 minutes and gives noticeably brighter skin for 4–6 weeks. We run a 50% off promotion every Thursday.

For most men, once every 4–6 weeks is the right frequency. Oily/acne-prone skin benefits from once every 3 weeks. Dry/aging skin can stretch to once every 6–8 weeks. Maintenance is far more effective than rescue — consistent monthly facials prevent the blackheads, ingrown hairs, and dullness most men only notice when they're already a problem.

The only mildly uncomfortable phase is extraction — when the therapist clears blackheads after steaming. We do this gently using sterile tools, never fingernails. Most men describe it as a 3 or 4 out of 10 on a discomfort scale, similar to a deep stretch. The rest of the facial (cleanse, mask, massage, finish) is genuinely relaxing — many men fall asleep.

Yes, but timing matters. Book your facial 5–7 days before the event — not the day before. This gives skin time to settle after extractions and lets any temporary redness fade. Yes. We use single-use cotton, sterile extraction tools sanitised in an autoclave between clients, and a fresh disposable headband and chest cover for each appointment. Each treatment bed is wiped with hospital-grade disinfectant between clients. Therapists wear gloves throughout the extraction phase.
