1 · The two paths to spend less
Most YLG Chennai customers either: (a) buy a membership upfront and pay member-discounted prices on every visit, or (b) skip membership and time their visits to the recurring 50%-off offer days. Both can work — the right choice depends entirely on how often you visit and how flexible you are on timing.
Path A — Membership
Pay a one-time annual fee. Get an upfront credit of services + a percentage discount on every regular booking. Higher tiers add bonus services and priority booking. Investment ranges across YLG tiers:

- Tuesday — 50% off hair services above ₹1,149 (cuts, expert cuts, smoothening, premium spa)
- Wednesday — 50% off colour (Majirel + Inoa fashion colours, balayage, ombre, creative)
- Thursday — 50% off ELT facial (₹4,198 → ₹2,099)
The catch: you only save on the categories that match the offer day. Mani-pedi on Tuesday isn't discounted. Threading on Wednesday isn't discounted.

Rule of thumb: only buy the tier whose service credit you'll genuinely consume in 12 months. Better to under-tier and renew than over-tier and waste.
5 · The 3-question decision filter
- How many salon visits do you make per year? (count last 12 months) — under 5: skip membership. 5-9: Silver or Gold. 10+: Gold/Diamond. 15+ premium services: Platinum/Royale.
- How flexible is your schedule? If you can move appointments to Tuesdays/Wednesdays/Thursdays, weekly offers work even at low visit counts. If you're stuck with weekends only, membership wins because offers don't apply weekends.
- Do you want priority booking? Senior-stylist slots fill 7-14 days ahead, especially Saturday. Diamond+ memberships add priority booking — can be worth the difference even when raw math says lower tier.
6 · Frequently asked questions
Can I share my membership with family?
No — non-transferable. Each membership is tied to one customer profile. For families wanting shared benefits, multiple individual memberships work; or look at the Royale tier which has guest-pass options.
What if I move out of Chennai mid-year?
YLG memberships are Chennai-specific. If you move to a city without a YLG outlet, unused service credit can be transferred to family member at our discretion (we usually accommodate). Annual fee is non-refundable mid-year.
Do offer days apply to bridal services?
No — bridal services and bridal packages are excluded from both membership discount and weekly offers. Bridal pricing has its own bundle structure. See the bridal package calculator.
Can I upgrade tiers mid-year?
Yes — pay the difference between tiers, get the new tier's benefits prorated for the remaining months. Upgrade is one-way; you can't downgrade mid-year.
